Welcome to Process Advokatbyrå

We specialize in criminal law and other trial procedures. The right knowledge combined with careful preparations can be the difference in almost any trial situation. What drives us is the challenge to make sure our dedicated efforts result in the best possible outcome for you at the end of your legal process.

We represent those accused of a crime, and those who are victims of a crime. We represent asylum seekers as well as those applying for a residence permit on other grounds. We also represent those who have suffered injustices due to the actions of the State, such as in cases of compulsory care.

Our services are usually provided free of charge and paid for by public funding. Legal consultation is available pro bono.

All our employees speak fluent Swedish and English, and if you have another mother tongue, then we make sure an experienced interpreter is present during our meetings.

Criminal cases

If you are the suspect of a crime, you have the right to a public defence counsel. A public defence counsel must always be a lawyer, and you have the right to choose whichever lawyer you want. Public funding covers the costs for your counsel.

If you are the victim of a crime, you have the right to what is called a “counsel for an injured party”. You are free to choose whichever lawyer you want, and public funding covers the costs for your counsel.

If the Police or the Court asks you if you want a particular lawyer to represent you, you can always give the name of us at Process Advokatbyrå. We will then be appointed as your counsel, and will represent you throughout the legal process.

If you would prefer to get in touch with us beforehand, you are of course welcome to do so. Please find our contact details below.

Immigration law

If you have applied for asylum in Sweden, you have the right to a public counsel. The same right applies in cases where the Swedish Migration Agency is considering deporting you on other grounds. You have the right to choose whichever lawyer you want. Your public counsel provides advice and support during the whole process and always represents your interests. Please tell the Swedish Migration Agency that you want one of us as your public counsel, and public funding will cover our costs.

We can also represent you if you are applying for a residence permit on grounds of employment, or on grounds of reunification. If you are not a Swedish resident, however, you are not entitled to a public counsel and must cover your own costs for legal representation. In such cases, we represent you as a proxy. Please contact us for more information.

Public counsel in other cases

A public counsel is a lawyer whose costs are covered by public funding. You have the right to a public counsel when the social authorities take legal measures that affect your personal life, such as when they take custody of your child, or when they decide to subject you to compulsory care as an adult. Tell the authority in question, or the Court, that you want our help, and public funding will cover our costs.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to be in touch. Please find our contact details below.
